Mark Maser
8th Grade Science
Science Department Chair
Chemical Hygiene Officer
National Junior Honor Society Co-Chair
I am originally from Pennsylvania and came to North Carolina in 1990 to attend Catawba College, where I received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Science Education with a Minor in Psychology. After teaching in Davie County for two years, I came to Chestnut Grove in 1996 and the rest, as they say, is history. In my nearly 25 years of teaching at the grove, I have seen many changes ( my classroom for example was the media center when I first arrived). I am a Science Teacher, not a teacher who happens to be teaching science. This is what I went to school to do. I love watching students take on a difficult topic or concept and having that "ah-Ha" moment. I look forward to another year of scientific investigation.
